Just Life

I have to start out by saying – my hair is not that color! Something about the lighting and maybe the yellow backdrop just lit the red in my hair on fire. Normally it’s a dark reddish brown – dark brown with red highlights, and I know this because I have the bottle to prove it 😂

But how surreal Wednesday night was! I couldn’t believe I got to meet Lauren Graham. And of course all of my introvertedness, which is usually well masked, was out in full glory and I was just as awkward as I could be. But, oh well, that’s just me when standing next to a woman I watch every night on TV.

It was a great night and a fun book talk. The theater was sold out. And there even was a little drama during the meet & greet while we were waiting to go up and actually meet Lauren…Ms. Graham…hmm…Lorelei Gilmore! A woman passed out and hit her head pretty hard on the floor. I was impressed by how quickly people moved to help her and get her help. I’m just hoping she is okay.

So, that was my week – how was yours?

Books in my Mailbox and Inbox

So many books but they all look so good. I tried to arrange them by genre.

What I Was Watching

We finally got around to watching The Marvels. It was okay. Pretty entertaining. But it really reflects how much Disney is changing Marvel movies – especially with the singing town. 🎶

  1. I haven’t read any of her books, but I bet they’re fun. As for the woman who passed out… good thing she is married to a man who plays a paramedic on the TV series 911!

  2. It looks like you had an amazing evening – what a treat to meet a Gilmore Girl, who is looking really good. Apart from the poor lady who fainted, that is… And I think your hair looks gorgeous in the pic:)). I hope the coming week is a good one.

  3. Thanks so much for sharing your “Lorelai” experience💜 I’m an extrovert and know I would have been a bit tongue tied. Hope that guest who fell is okay. And, your hair in any color looks fabulous! Know that if you want to, red suits you.

Didn’t know that Hazelwood had another book on deck so thanks for that. Have a great week!

  6. You got to meet Lorelei – lucky you! Sounds like a fun night out. I would be very awkward as well and wouldn’t know what to say to her. Also, I would have to make an effort, not to call her Lorelei.

  7. My daughter and I love that show. So do her friends. (They all frequently compare me to Lorelei and my mother to Emily. How I wish my life was like Lorelei’s.) When my daughter got married, her bridal party did a Luke’s Diner theme. I thought it sounded tacky, but it turned out adorable. She’d have loved to have met Lauren Graham. Sorry your inner introvert raged, but it still seems like a fun event.
