My Thoughts
I love a good psychological thriller and this one definitely has a lot of potential. I just started it today, so I don’t have any information/thoughts to share, as I write this, but it does look utterly creepy. And, I do enjoy a creepy, thrill-ride ❤️

My Thoughts
Have you ever had a book – the cover, the title, the description – that is out of your norm reading, but it almost calls to you insisting on being read? This is such a book for me. I’m not sure what it is about the book that spoke to me before I even cracked a page, but I do know it is a moving read about a middle-aged woman who finally finds love, loses that love in the worst possible way, and then goes on an adventure to learn how to process her grief and open her heart once again. A very moving story without a doubt!

My Thoughts
Do you see in the picture that this is an actual physical copy of the book? Once upon a time, I resisted ebooks with everything in me but now, it’s a rare treat (and sometimes a frustration for not having all the benefits that I enjoy in an ebook) to read a physical copy of a book. I’m very interested in this story. I have the digital ARC of book 2, but I wanted to read book 1 (this book) first. I love epic fantasy – it’s neck and neck with psychological thrillers for my favorite genre – and this one sounds very intriguing. I’ve read many stories with strong female characters but not one that classified itself as feminist. I’m looking forward to finding out more.
I started with a couple. And I left them after the first chapter. Mind is too distracted

The Women’s War sounds so good! I read The Power recently and it just didn’t live up to my expectations, so I’ve been looking for some feminist fiction. I may have to read this one!

It helps keep my reviews from getting stale, I think. If I read too much in one genre, I start having trouble finding words to talk about it that don’t feel like exactly the same thing I said of the one before.

I agree!! When books start sounding the same, I definitely read too many of the same genre.
