I graduated to a small splint on Friday, and boy am I glad to be done with that boot. I’ve got to call Monday to start physical therapy, which will be painful, but I’ve had a god experience with it in the past. A little pain is worth a stronger ankle.

My birthday is Tuesday, so of course the festivities started this weekend. I’m so spoiled – my husband always stretches my birthday out over multiple days to a week. Usually, I’m made to sit back and relax -though this year, hurting my ankle saw to that over two weeks ago. And, he makes me all my favorite bad for me foods. Sometimes we go out to a movie or a show and dinner. We did a show last weekend (Riverdance) though I refused dinner out before the show because the thought of trying to get around to the restaurant and through the restaurant in that boot and crutches felt overwhelming to say the least.

So, that was my week – how was yours?

This appeared on my doorstep on Friday. A gift from Penguin/Random House and the author, Colleen Oakley. I love the personal note from Coleen maybe even more than the actual book. And, since I wanted to drop everything and start reading it – that is saying a lot. This book sounds so fun! I can’t wait to delve in ❤️

I saw that Black Panther 2 was out on Disney+ a few weeks ago, but trying to find time to watch a 3 hour movie is not an easy feat. We managed to watch it last night. It was very good – very poignant too. They did a very nice remembrance of Chadwick Boseman – the actor and his character.

      Me too! They put it as read now for a limited number of people, so I snagged it. Nora Roberts has been hit or miss for me lately but I’m always hopeful.

      I’ve been that way with Nora Roberts lately – hit or miss. I’ve liked what I’ve read by Lisa Jewell though. I hope we both enjoy both books if you decide to give the Jewell book a read.

    Glad your ankle is doing better. Happy early Birthday too! So sweet that your husband makes it a multiple day affair! I used to ask for a week. haha! Now, my son’s birthday is 3 days before mine, so I’m all partied out after his party. Also, a week before is Mother’s Day. My poor husband has a lot to celebrate in May. haha! I hope you have a lovely week and enjoy being spoiled!

      That is tough timing. The birthday closest to mine is my youngest daughter and hers isn’t until March 30th, so I always waited til mine was over then started working on hers.

    Happy Birthday, Tessa! Sounds like hubby gives you the royal treatment – nice. I also watched Wakanda last week. I thought the memorial to Boseman was done so well. And I adored the ending.

    Once again, I am reading this ten days late, so Happy Belated Birthday! I’m glad your ankle is healing well. I also have several of the books you added and hope we both enjoy them. I haven’t watched either of the Black Panther movies, but hope to before I head back home at the end of March.
