I’ve enjoyed other books by Kathryn Freeman in the same genre, so I’m hoping I like Nobody Puts RomComs in the Corner. I do love the Dirty Dancing reference in the title. I’ll be starting it today.
- Genre: Rom Com
- Pages: 384 pages
- Publisher: One More Chapter

I loved The Last Orphan by Gregg Hurwitz. I love the whole series so much I’m trying to talk my husband into reading it. It’s a great action thriller with a main character that is so complex he never fails to increasingly intrigue me.
- Genre: Thriller
- Pages: 352 pages
- Publisher: St. Martin’s Press
- Publication Date: February 14, 2023

I’ve got to be honest – the title The Shamshine Blind does nothing to attract me to the book. Nor does the cover. But the book description blows me away. I’m hoping that the description is more telling than the rest of it and that I love it!
- Genre: Sci-Fy Thriller
- Pages: 320 pages
- Publisher: Atria Books
- Publication Date: February 14, 2023

What are you reading? Do you love it?

It sounds so good it’s a shame they didn’t give it a better cover and title

I agree with you that the cover and title of The Shamshine Blind do nothing for me, Tessa. But the blurb sure is interesting. I hope it’s as compelling as it seems. The Last Orphan sounds good – trying to get your hubby to read it is a great endorsement. Have fun with the new one. 🙂

I have to push him sometimes but it’s like the movies we both enjoy just with a better developed main character

I think your hubby would love Evan Smoak, too. The series is high octane. I’m with you about the cover The Shamshine Blind as it’s rather curious and doesn’t seem to best reflect the story. Hope it turns out well. Love that Dirty Dancing nod!
Happy reading, Tessa💜

You’re right about The Shamshine Blind – that cover does nothing for me. I loved the romcom references in the first book. When I read the names Harry and Sally, I thought, really? Sounds like a fun one.
