This week was just nice, calm, and quiet. Work went smoothly. Loving being out of the busy season. There may be some trouble brewing with one of my co-workers who is pitching a fit at having to share my office space with a few of her parttime employees and volunteers while her area is recarpeted and some mold remediated. If we were all there at the same time, it would be quite tight, but we all come in on different days and times, so I’m fine with sharing. She’s trying to boot me out of my own office, though. We will see how that plays out in the coming weeks.
I finally broke down and bought a new dining table and chairs this week. They should be delivered on Wednesday. We had are current one for over twenty years and I like it. But finally one of the chairs has become a death trap with one of its legs giving out at random times. So, I guess it’s time for a new table and chairs.
So, that was my week – how was yours?

FairyLoot Books

This week I watched the first episode of Wolf Pack starring Sarah Michelle Gellar – on Paramount +. It was pretty good. A little scary (but not too much) and a little teenagerly (but the main characters are high school students), I look forward to seeing how this show progresses.

I hope your office issues get sorted soon. How rude wanting to take over YOUR office, some people are unbelievable.
I’ve been looking at the Ali Hazelwood book on Netgalley and wondered whether to request it. I’ve not read the author before.

I know – right? I wondered if she had any clue what she was saying to me. And I haven’t read Ali Hazelwood either but I know a lot of people loved her last book.

Oh, I’d have some choice words for the drama-ilama colleague! And I’d absolutely be refusing to leave my own office! I hope that the situation resolves without too much strife.
So jealous you’ve been approved for Love, Theoretically! (I didn’t. *sobs*) I hope you love it!! 🙂

I had choice words once I got home and got over the shock of someone being so incredibly rude to my face. I told the person who is in charge of figuring out where to put the displaced people about it in hopes of preempting any sway she might have. Such craziness. And I’m so sorry you didn’t get approved. I was shocked I did.

Hope your office issues get sorted, I’d leave her stuff out in the hallway just to be petty!!!! ♥️

Lol. I chose to tell the person in charge of figuring out where to put everyone about what happened instead (as a forewarning for him, of course 😉) – in hopes of preempting any sway she might have. Such craziness!

Love your slide show, those spredges are gorgeous! I’m guessing they’re fantasy books? I really hope your colleague doesn’t cause you any problems and everything works out fine!

They are fantasy and so pretty. You can’t beat a fantasy cover for put gorgeousness.

Ugh – why do coworkers have to be that way? Especially if the situation is temporary. Hopefully that all smooths out for you soon.

Yuk, office drama! I hope everything smooths out this week for you. Yay on the new dining room set! We’re the same way, we won’t replace furniture until it’s absolutely not working anymore. Nice book haul!

We don’t change furniture very often. It always seems like such a hassle. We still have the same bedroom furniture we had when we got married 😂

It’s always exciting to get new furniture! The romcoms both look like fun. Have a great week, Tessa.

It is exciting. The chairs will be here today and the table either tomorrow or the next day. 👏

My kitchen table needs replacing, hopefully I’ll sort that out. Sharing is okay, but that sounds a bit much.

It’s all a bit much for sure. I told her if I could work from home, I’d be happy to but most things I have to do there.

The Fairy Loot books are pretty! I’m having issues with some work people as well. Not quite the same as yours though. Yours sound crazy! I need to start the Wolf Pack series. I loved the original Teen Wolf series, and seeing SMG is on it now I really need to! Have a great week!

What an unnecessary trouble and drama! I used to regret for not having job and still do at some moments but when I read/hear some of office issues and dramas I feel better for being stay at home parent.
I want to get that Ali Hazelwood book. I have read all ebooks before but now I want them in physical format.

I enjoyed my stay at home mom years. I didn’t even think of going back to work until my youngest started middle school. And yes, Office drama is something you are lucky to be missing out on.

I also got The Battle Drum – loved the first book in that series. I’ve been thinking about checking out Wolf Pack, so now I might give it a try. Good luck with those office politics, Tesa.

How exciting about that new dining room! My idea of fun. Thanks for the heads up about Dead and Gone, which I’ll be adding when the audiobook is created.
I’ve been MIA because I injured my shoulder. Haven’t been able to raise my right area since Wednesday night so I’m seriously behind. Yesterday was the first day I could be halfway normal thanks to lidocaine patches. Never experienced anything like this before. Apparently, i overtaxed my nerves and muscles by being online too long and holding my iPad. Go figure.
Ooh, office drama. Geez, she needs to take a chill pill.

Oh, no! I hope it’s feeling better. And yeah, the iPad has messed up a few things in my arm too. I’ve been using a pillowed holder to alleviate the pain and nerve issues.
