I loved Mirrorland by Carole Johnstone so I’m eager to start The Blackhouse later today. It’s a gothic thriller/suspense and sounds just as good as Mirrorland.
Genre: Psychological Thriller
Pages: 329 pages
Publisher: Scribner
Publication Date: January 3, 2023

Emily Wilde’s Encyclopaedia of Fairies is such an unusual book and I liked that about it. It reads like a very formal Victorian novel yet deals with the fantastical. It reminded me a little of Spinning Silver by Naomi Novik.
- Genre: Fantasy
- Pages: 336 pages
- Publisher: Del Rey books
- Publication Date: January 10, 2023

I haven’t seen The Hunter around the blogosphere or Instagram, so I’m really curious what kind of read it’s going to turn out to be. It sounds good, at any rate.
- Genre: Psychological Thriller
- Pages: 352 pages
- Publisher: G.P. Putnam’s Sons
- Publication Date: January 10, 2023

What are you reading? Do you love it?

These all sound fantastic! I hope you enjoy them all and I can’t wait to hear your thoughts on The Blackhouse. ❤️
I just finished What Moves the Dead by T Kingfisher and I did love it.

After a long, unintentional, break I am so pleased to be back Tessa and to see you are still reading away! I am currently reading the nostalgic-mystery The Language of Bees by Laurie R. King. I wish you happy reading this week and here is my WWW post: https://thebookwormchronicles.wordpress.com/2022/12/28/%f0%9f%93%9a-www-wednesday-what-i-have-been-reading-this-week-28-dec-22/ 🙂

I’m intrigued by The Blackhouse and that cover is really unique. Encyclopaedia of Faeries also sounds like a good one.
I’m currently about 25% into Never Have I Ever by Joshilyn Jackson and am finding it difficult to put down!

I’ve heard of that one. The title is easy to remember since it’s also a game. Glad it’s a wonderful read for you so far!
