What a week! I don’t think there is any vacation that is more exhausting than a Disney vacation. We had a good time though and the weather was mostly nice – only 1 day of on and off rain to contend with. We made it to all 4 parks – even Magic Kingdom twice and had so much rich food that our stomachs will probably never forgive us.
I had a moment of bravery and dared to try the new Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind ride. And now I finally know what motion sickness feels like. Everybody has loved the ride including my whole family, but for me – it was a really bad experience. Definitely a one and done.

So, that was my week – how was yours?

Being at Disney last week, the only watching I did was people watching, and they probably wouldn’t have liked it if I filmed them for our mutual amusement. This week, though, I going to try and watch the new National Treasure show of Disney+.

That ride was a doozy! It was like the Crush ride at Disney Paris but even more intense. Now on to decorating for Christmas!

Every since I had the girls, my ability to handle more intense rides has greatly diminished.

Glad you have such a fabulous time, but sorry about the motion sickness. That can put you out of the game for a while. The pics are beautiful! When we visit Universal it’s usually right after Christmas, and I always enjoy seeing all the decorations. Have a great week, Tessa!

We went first thing Thursday morning and the rest of the day was pretty blah. My youngest daughter told me she didn’t think it was for me but everyone else was in the “you’ll be fine” camp. I listen to her from now on! 😀

It looks like a great time to venture to Disney with all the decorations. Just that clip of Guardians of the Galaxy gave me a bit of motion sickness, Tessa. I would have been right there with you, eyes closed and groaning. Glad you had fun though. Merry Christmas. 😀

It is brilliant you had a great vacation. National treasure, I might just give that a watch. We have been watching Willow.

We have too! I like Willow though sometimes the screen gets too dark.

Hi Tessa!
You have a lovely all nice and summery blog design! I love it!!!!
A trip to Disney… Now that is on my bucket list. We don’t have kids, but my sister in law promised I can go with them in about two years time when their kids are big enough. Looking forward to that!
As always, I love the books you’ve shared…
Have a wonderful Christmas week and blessings!

I’ve been to Disney twice this year (for the first time). We took Ollie to Magic Kingdom for one day when we were visiting the in-laws. He loved it but gosh.. so exhausting!! We went in October for one night when we were in Orlando for my husbands work conference. We went to Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party and it was a blast but .. exhausting! Haha. We plan to do a week trip sometime over the next few years but I can imagine it would be exhausting! Haha. Looks like you had a magical time though!! 😊

That is the word for a Disney trip for sure! I’m definitely exhausted and I have to get the house decorated for Xmas before my mother-in-law arrives tomorrow. Somewhere in me there has to be a little more energy, right? 😂

Oof, that’s rough!!! You got this!! Pump the Christmas music and drink some (lots) of coffee or tea! Haha. Thankfully, I’ve got the in-laws visit out of the way! It was last weekend. I hosting my family for the first time but it will be the weekend after Christmas.

Disney was great as always. It’s lost a bit of its magic but is still a fun time.
