I’m starting A Cornish Christmas Murder today. It’s my last Christmas book this year. I’ve enjoyed many Fiona Leitch books including her first book with this detective – Jodie “Nosey” Parker – so I expect only good things.
- Genre: Mystery
- Pages: 249 pgs.
- Publisher: One More Chapter (Harper Collins)
- Publication Date: December 9, 2021 (Nov. 29 in the UK)
I’ve seen many reviews where the reviewed book is described as being like a warm hug, and that’s exactly how I would describe The Cranberry Inn. It drew me in with its warm hominess and kept me so happy to be staying at the Cranberry Inn.
- Genre: Holiday Fiction
- Pages: 257 pgs
- Publisher: Bookouture
- Publication Date: November 15, 2021
I’ve had The Awakening ever since it came out – yes, almost a year!!! And, it is going to be my weekend read. The next book is coming out soon, so I would love to have this read by then. I’m not a big romance fan – aside from holiday fiction and romcoms – but I’ve always enjoyed Nora Roberts’ fantasies. I’m looking forward to FINALLY reading this first book in her newest fantasy trilogy.
- Genre: Romantic Fantasy
- Pages: 452 pgs
- Publisher: St. Martin’s Press
- Publication Date: November 24, 2020

These are some great picks. I haven’t read a Nora Roberts novel for awhile! Currently I’m reviewing Reckoning by Stephanie Baldi. 🙂

I can tell I missed some things from not reading books 2 and 3 but just minor personal story points. It’s pretty fun so far ❤️

They all sound like winners. Though I confess I haven’t read Nora Roberts in probably fifteen years. (There was a time I could honestly say I’d read all of her work. Me. Can you believe that?) Can’t wait to hear your thoughts on all of these.

Ummm…{slowly raises hand} me too. Straight-out romances and all. Lol 😆. In my teens and twenty’s, I would gobble up romance, especially hers.

You said you just finished your last holiday book for the year. Are these reviews you have for before the holiday so other people can read them during the season, or do you save your holiday reviews for the holiday season itself?

I’ve already reviewed and posted 4 and the reviews for the two on this post will be posted next week. Then I thought for a Thanksgiving post I might do a recap of all six holiday books, since most people read them between Thanksgiving and Christmas ❤️

Oh, great idea! You’ve given us time to buy them and then remind us to read them instead of just putting them on the TBR pile on the night stand like you know we do! LOL. This is a good idea for all holiday reading….usually I really struggle to get horror reviews up in October because I want to read the books in October and I’m already scheduled out a way. Thanks, Tessa. You’re a book blog guru.

Clearly I’ve missed something. I thought Nora Roberts only wrote romance? Had no idea she wrote anything like this.

Oh, yes! She started off with more urban fantasy but in the last five years or so has stepped up to full on fantasy with true world-building and lots of magic and magical creatures.

I hope you like The Awakening. I’m listening to the series, gearing up for the next book later this month.

I heard that it started a bit slow and it surely does. Too many small details. But I’m in Ireland now and it is picking up a bit.❤️
