I’ve started Lies My Memory Told Me but haven’t gotten very far yet. It is much different than I expected with a sci-fy/dystopian element added to the mystery/thriller story.

When I saw In Every Generation on Disney Hyperion’s NetGalley page I just had to request it because I’m a HUGE (!!!) Buffy the Vampire Slayer fan. They just approved my request on Monday, and I immediately started reading it. I might be putting myself in a pickle at some point with my review schedule but it’s BUFFY! so it just had to be read NOW!!! I love getting back in touch with all the original characters along with meeting the new generation.

I’m finally jumping out of YA fiction and back into adult fiction for a bit and am so excited to read this sci-fy dystopian story. I loved Road Out of Winter and this new story sounds even better than that one.

      The author really does a great job of capturing the original characters and the overall feel of the early seasons. Very cool!

      The author does an excellent job of capturing the personalities and even voices of the original characters and she took on the tone, pace, and wit on the early seasons. The fact that she stays true to the tv series gets big thumbs up 👍

    Your enthusiasm for the Buffy book leaps through the screen, LOL. Would you believe I never saw a single episode of the show? I think I’m probably one of the very few who hasn’t. I know it has a huge and diehard following.

    I started reading The Mother Next Door last night. Only 24% into the book, but already loving it!

    Looking forward to seeing what you think about Trashlands. I read her other book and enjoyed it – got the widget for this one, but just couldn’t fit it in.

      I only knew about In Every Generation because I occasionally explore Disney Hyperion’s offerings on NetGalley. Maybe it will be promoted more as the publication day grows closer. It needs to be! I found it to be such a treat ❤️
