Sunday Post 28| Where Did that Title Come From and Other Updates

The Sunday Post is a weekly meme hosted here @ Caffeinated Reviewer. It’s a chance to share news~ A post to recap the past week on your blog and showcase books and things we have received. Share news about what is coming up on our blog for the week ahead. See rules here: Sunday Post Meme

It took Theo (cat) a few days to get over being at the cat hotel while we were at the beach, but he’s finally back to mostly normal. He just wants a bit more snuggles, and who am I to complain about that. He’s so soft and fluffy 😻

So, for Mother’s Day earlier this month, my husband, who is always on the lookout for new, creative, and cool gift ideas, bought me a piece of a rural estate in Northern Ireland. This comes with the legit title of Lady of the Manor or just Lady. My official title is Lady Theresa Everton Pulyer of Ardmore, which I shortened to Lady Tessa. It’s mostly just for fun as it’s a title connected to property rather than peerage, and what better place to use a title for fun than here in the blogosphere. I know you all will have a chuckle along with me when you see it. It’s also a way to show my husband that I appreciate his thoughtful gift. He always amazes me with what he comes up with. I’m not nearly as creative when it comes to gifts.

This is a long weekend for the US and the UK and maybe other places as well. I’m enjoying it with some good books, how about you?

  1. Theo is looking much more happier this week! Gosh, he’s just adorable. I think our two new tabbies are going to have fur like Theos.

That’s awesome that you own estate in Ireland! What a thoughtful and unique gift. I noticed your name change and wondered about. Now I get it. 😉

    Enjoy your week, Tessa. ❤️

    1. It was definitely an unexpected gift❤️. Theo is much happier and you’re not going to be able to keep your hands off of your two if they have that orange tabby disposition. That plus thick fluffiness = lots of snuggle time ❤️❤️❤️

  2. Glad Theo got over it! The first time I took my cat Zena to a pet hotel, I was calling each day from the Dominican Republic. They would supposedly put the phone next to her. First pet of an only child😂

    1. Lol. I bet they actually did. People who run those things totally get it ❤️. Where Theo was had a camera in the room, so I could see him whenever I wanted.

    1. Right? It’s totally crazy. I laughed when I opened it and said something like “Yeah, right!” But my husband showed me that it was indeed real. So crazy ❤️

  4. Ha. I noticed the Lady Tessa on your blog and now I know why. Lol. What a fun and creative gift. 🙂 Thanks for the summer reading ideas. My kindle is getting plump, but I love summer reading. There’s just something so relaxing and lazy about a book and a hammock. A fun post, Lady Tessa. Happy Reading.

  5. Theo is an adorable furry friend. And how awesome is your husband at gifts! So creative. I haven’t gotten to the Friends reunion yet, but I may try to watch it later today. I’d also love to take advantage of Torcon, but that’s the weekend we’ll be in Austin moving our son. Have a great week, Tessa!

  6. So pleased to hear Leo is almost back to his normal self… well as normal as cats get anyway and you can never have too many cat cuddles for my liking! 😻 I am also pleased announce it was a gloriously sunny Bank Holiday weekend here in the UK, where I enjoyed re-reading Eragon by Christopher Paolini in the garden and binge-watched the gripping Mare of Easttown miniseries, starring the brillaint Kate Winslet! 😁

Take care, happy reading and good luck with the 20 Books of Summer reading challenge! 😎

    1. Sounds like a perfect holiday weekend! I loved Eragon and to think Paolini was a teenager when he wrote it blows my mind. And Kate Winslet!!! I imagine anything she’s in is great 😊

  7. You have such a thoughtful and creative husband. I love it. I did not watch the Friends Reunion, but I think I still can on CRAVE. Sounds like you have some great reads coming up Tessa. I have some of the same books on my 20 Books of Summer list. I hope we both enjoy them.

    1. I don’t know how he finds this stuff. He gets needed items as gifts from me and he gives me things I didn’t even know I wanted and are way cool. That’s his superpower, I guess ❤️❤️❤️
