#BookBloggerHop | My Book Character Twin

The Book Blogger Hop was originally created by Jennifer @ Crazy-For-Books in March 2010 and ended on December 31, 2012. With Jennifer’s permission, Billy @ Ramblings of a Coffee Addicted Writer relaunched the hop on February 15, 2013. Each week the hop will start on a Friday and end the following Thursday. There will be a weekly prompt featuring a book related question. The hop’s purpose is to give bloggers a chance to follow other blogs, learn about new books, befriend other bloggers, and receive new followers to their own blog.

Question:

What book character do you think you are most like and why?

 (submitted by Julie @ JadeSky)

Answer:

I have always been a Jo March. Always. A hot-headed, headstrong tomboy who writes, Jo is my spirit-character. I’m also proud, determined, and independent- oh so independent…to a fault just like Jo. Which I guess means I’m very much like the author Louisa May Alcott since she said that Jo was autobiographical. I’ve never been a girly girl. Instead of a cheerleader in high school, I was the manager of the boys’ soccer team (which meant that I kept a play-by-play book for the coach, blew the airhorn at the end of each quarter, and was considered part of the team), which sums me up in a nutshell.

I’ve always wanted to be Arwen Undómiel, though, because the elves from LOTR are cool, and Arwen is the coolest. I have a replica of her necklace, but that’s as close as I get to be like her and to visiting Rivendell.

What book character do you think you are most like?

  1. Omg I love little women and I think it’s so cool how you relate yourself to Jo and Louisa May! I think I relate a lot to Meg as I like to be organised and practical, I’d also love to have a family like hers some day! Great post Tessa! ❤

  2. This was neat learning a little more about you! I was never a girly girl either. You’d never catch me in a dress! Arwen is one of my favorite characters too. I’d love to see your replica necklace. I imagine it’s beautiful! ❤️ Have a good weekend, Tessa.

    1. Oh, it is 😍. I love to wear it and see how many people recognize what it is. So far, only one person has but many many have complimented it. Lol. ❤️

  3. I love that you chose Jo! I’ve never been a girly girl either, but I have no idea which character I’d choose. That would take some thinking. Have a great weekend, Tessa – safe travels to HHI!

    1. It was tough! I, at first, was thinking about more recent reads and came up empty. But then I remembered how much I related to Jo March way back when I first read Little Women and there you go.
Thank you! I can’t wait to get there. We were planning what restaurants to go to last night after dinner. Always the same ones – the Mexican restaurant in Shelter Cove, Guiseppi’s, Salty Dog – the Shipwreck one by the parrott, and maybe One Hot Mama’s. ❤️

  4. Fantastic answer. I don’t really identify with any particular character, they are all much more outgoing and sociable than I am!

  5. Hmm. I’d have to really dwell on this question to come up with an answer. Off the top of my head, I can’t think of one, but I like your answer.
