My Reading Week

Only 2 -3 more weeks of reading a book per 2 days, so the end of my “marathon” is near. Whew! I feel like I’ve been having okay reads and wonderful reads but not many in between – plain ole good reads. I’ve been wondering if I’ve just been more frank since I’m reading so much so fast. But, I don’t know 🤷🏻‍♀️

Yesterday, I started Jonathan Kellerman’s newest Dr. Alex Delaware book – Serpentine. I know I read at least one book from the series in the past, but I don’t remember any specifics. When you are from the very small state of Delaware, you tend to remember things like characters with the last name Delaware. I’m enjoying it very much. It has many components that I enjoy – murder mystery, an unsolved case from 30 years ago, psychology, and the lots and lots of misdirects and red herrings.

I finished This Golden Flame by Emily Victoria on Monday. It was okay. I think my expectations were too high and the story did lag in parts. But, I really loved the magic of the runes and the whole pirate plot-line.

Next, I’m reading The Project by Courtney Summers. I don’t get the chance to read many YA thrillers, so I’m excited to delve into this story. It definitely sounds like a potentially great read ❤️
