Gluten Free Oreos have arrived in stores! What a great day for people, like me, who have Celiac’s Disease or Gluten Intolerance. My husband found a package of GF Double Stuff Oreo’s for me at a near-by grocery store and I can’t wait to try them. I hear they taste very much like normal Oreos but to be honest, it has been 8 years since I’ve had anything with gluten in it, so I don’t remember what normal ones taste like. Now, if someone would make GF Mozzarella Sticks and GF Onion Rings that could just be popped in the oven, my life would be complete. When you are gluten free, it’s the little things that make you the happiest.

I mentioned my Post Office woes a few weeks ago (some of my mail going to another address – credit card bills, most notably – the person who received them returned to sender – credit card companies mad at me because they think I did not update my address since the bills were returned to sender and don’t understand that I’m still at the same address – such a nightmare) Well, after I received an OPENED credit card bill in the mail (ironically enough) from the person who has been getting them – new envelope with no return address, name, etc.., I contacted the only person listed on the post office site – the Postmaster – and told her what was going on, asking her to forward my email to the appropriate person and she actually did. I was promised it would be fixed, so fingers crossed.

I’m reading so much that I’m not sure what else is going on around me. Everything is going by in such a blur right now, but I’m almost though it…sort of… another few weeks.

How has your week been?

New Book Blogger Friends

Here are a few more new book bloggers friends I think you all should check them out!

{ PIXIE DUST WORDS – Book Review, Mindful Mondays and Friday Finds – this blog has a host of interesting posts that reflect Hazel’s many loves and interests.

Amy Leigh Reads – Amy Leigh loves breakfasts, naps, and reading. Her favorite genres fantasy (all kinds), romance, thrillers and mystery novels.

I picked up a number of books this week but all but one of them were previously scheduled blog tour books, so nothing unplanned or unexpected. I know I was kind of meh about the first Once and Future Queen book but I picked up the second because I really want to know what happens next and who knows, I could very well like it much better than the first. I have high hopes.

This week is ANOTHER full and busy week. I hope you come back to see the following:

  • Monday (1/25): Book Review | Knight’s Ransom by Jeff Wheeler (Epic Fantasy ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️)
  • Tuesday (1/26): Book Review | Family by Own Mullen (Mystery ⭐️⭐️⭐️)
  • Wednesday (1/27): WWW Wednesday
  • Thursday (1/28): Book Review | Finlay Donovan is Killing It by Elle Cosimano (Mystery ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️)
  • Friday (1/29): Book Blogger Hop: Do you share Books? Do you have a system for keeping track of who you’ve lent books to?
  • Saturday (1/30): Book Review | Prodigal Son by Gregg Hurwitz (Mystery ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️)

I’ve caught up with A Discovery of Witches, so now I’m watching each new episode as they comes out. I checked out the remake of Walker Texas Ranger with Jared Padalecki. It was fine. I’ll continue to watch it. It was kind of cool to see his real life wife play his fictional wife but kind of sad it was a very small role. It is fun to see Raven from The 100 too. And Legacies is back! Yay! It’s one of my favorite CW shows.

I’m looking forward to watching The Little Things with Denzel Washington this Friday on HBO Max. It’s a thriller that looks very good. I love that Warner Bros. movies are being offered on HBO Max as they hit the theaters.

Mostly I’ve been reading, though, as I continue my self-imposed marathon to get all my ARCs read by their publication date. Nothing like a challenge to keep you on your toes.

Did you read, watch, or do anything fun this week?

    1. There are definitely some good books out there. Have you caught up yet with your 2020 reads?

    1. They are new and taste like the gluten ones or so I hear. It’s always good to have choices. That’s the hardest thing about having a dietary restriction- the lack of choices.
I think the books look awesome too. I’m so excited to read them. 😊

  2. I really hope that your posting problems will be finally over, it must be so stressful and tedious, my sister once had a problem like that with her income taxes (she had moved during the year, she received taxes at both addresses and both agencies refused to communicate with each other). I tried to read a novel by Heather Graham once but I didn’t like it, maybe I fell on the one not good, I hope this one is as great as everybody says. I wish you a great week that brings good news 😉

    1. The Post Office thing has been crazy. And try to explain to bill type people that you postal person is delivering your mail to someone else is impossible. It’s like it’s incomprehensible to them. To be fair, I’ve been adulting for many years now and this has never happened before, so maybe it is incomprehensible.
I read a Heather Graham book that came out last year and loved it. Maybe it was just the book you chose or maybe her writing style just isn’t for you. ❤️

    1. Dietary restrictions are so hard. Just knowing you have choices makes it so much better. And I hope the Post Office issues are better too. My husband is a naysayer, but I have hope. Really, it’s a small town – it can’t be that difficult 😯

  3. OMG OPENED? That is so rude. Hopefully this will be resolved soon. Yay for GF Oreos. Those are some really good books you got! I hope you enjoy them all. Have a great week ❤

    1. Right?! There should be a rule – you open it, you pay the balance. Lol. I thought it was just a corner at first but nope – completely opened. It’s technically a federal offense but who would ever enforce that? It still is disconcerting though.
I’m totally looking forward to all the books and the Oreos 😊

    1. I’m glad you’re visiting the book blogs. I know many of them are relatively new, so definitely appreciate the looks 😊.
Fingers-crossed that the PO problems will be handled. They seemed to take it seriously. The hard part is finding contact info for anyone at the Post Office. There should be at least one person who deals with issues, you know? The postmaster I emailed wasn’t even the postmaster of my little branch, I don’t think. I think she is a few towns away. It’s head scratching for sure.

  5. I once had to contact the postmaster when our postman dropped Amazon packages (aka books) from 8 feet height onto stone floor because he was too lazy to ring bells. All my books arrived with dented corners. It gave me so much grieve.

    1. Wow! That’s crazy. My postwoman never rings my doorbell when she leaves stuff. Luckily I have one of those doorbell camera things, so I’m alerted by that. The post office doesn’t make it easy to find contact info, do they? Other than a general telephone number, but I needed someone in charge.

      1. It was HARD to find a way to contact them, and I believe email was the only way to talk to anybody. But at least the reply came pretty quickly.

  8. I’m trying to cut back but Just Get Home looks too good to pass up. Congratulations on the Oreos!!! I love those cookies but they’ve been banned from my diet because of the sugar and calories…something about not being able to eat just one, or two, or…

Thanks for the heads up about the Denzel Washington movie. It does look good.

    Have a great week, Tessa💜

    1. Lol. Yeah, moderation is always the key. I stay away from sweetened drinks for the same reason – I’ll drink it all day and that’s bad.
      I can’t wait for that movie. 🍿

    1. It’s actually available at Whole Foods too supposedly and we have one just a few miles away. I haven’t been to the store in so long I had no idea! I’m going to put on my mask and go check it out 😊

  9. I hope you enjoyed your GF Oreos! I read Killer Chardonnay it’s a fairly new cozy mystery series that takes place in Boulder Colorado and the amateur sleuth is a winemaker. I think the book was very clever. The upcoming Denzel movie looks very good!
