The Three Ws are:
What are you currently reading?
What did you recently finish reading?
What do you think you’ll read next?
I can’t believe Thanksgiving is tomorrow in the US! My girls are home – one for the week and the other until January – and so are their cats. Both cats had a flea collars waiting and a little pill that kills adult fleas on a cat. I finally have the flea issue under control, so I don’t want it messed up with the addition of two new cats.
Today I will be cooking what I can ahead of time – like pies. Yum 😋 If you saw my Sunday Post #3, you know all that I’m serving tomorrow. It will be quite the spread.
I’ve been reading some wonderful books also. I am currently reading Red House by Joss Sterling. They sent me a last minute widget, and I was able to carve out two days to read it before it is published, so why not. I loved the first two books – Black River and White Horse which I reviewed earlier this month. So far it is just as engrossing as the other two, starting out with a murder investigation in an upscale part of Oxford – a dead body fertilizing someone’s garden. Definitely not my choice of fertilizers. How about yours?
I just finished Amari and the Night Brothers. It is a wonderful MG fantasy that deals with hard hitting realities such as racism, prejudice, and social bullying in a delightful, fantastical manner. I just adored Amari as I am positive many others will. This is for a blog tour I am doing with The Write Reads.
Next, I’ve allotted two days to read Nora Robert’s book that just came out yesterday – The Awakening. It is one of her fantasy genre novels, which is my favorite genre to read of her books.
✨ Tell to me about the book(s) you are reading this week (in the comments). ✨ I love hearing about them. ❤️

Artemis Fowl meets Men in Black in this exhilarating debut middle grade fantasy, the first in a trilogy filled with #blackgirlmagic. Perfect for fans of Tristan Strong Punches a Hole in the Sky, the Percy Jackson series, and Nevermoor.
Amari Peters has never stopped believing her missing brother, Quinton, is alive. Not even when the police told her otherwise, or when she got in trouble for standing up to bullies who said he was gone for good.
So when she finds a ticking briefcase in his closet, containing a nomination for a summer tryout at the Bureau of Supernatural Affairs, she’s certain the secretive organization holds the key to locating Quinton—if only she can wrap her head around the idea of magicians, fairies, aliens, and other supernatural creatures all being real.
Now she must compete for a spot against kids who’ve known about magic their whole lives. No matter how hard she tries, Amari can’t seem to escape their intense doubt and scrutiny—especially once her supernaturally enhanced talent is deemed “illegal.” With an evil magician threatening the supernatural world, and her own classmates thinking she’s an enemy, Amari has never felt more alone. But if she doesn’t stick it out and pass the tryouts, she may never find out what happened to Quinton.

When Breen Kelly was a girl, her father would tell her stories of magical places. Now she’s an anxious twentysomething mired in student debt and working a job she hates. But one day she stumbles upon a shocking discovery: her mother has been hiding an investment account in her name. It has been funded by her long-lost father—and it’s worth nearly four million dollars.
This newfound fortune would be life-changing for anyone. But little does Breen know that when she uses some of the money to journey to Ireland, it will unlock mysteries she couldn’t have imagined. Here, she will begin to understand why she kept seeing that silver-haired, elusive man, why she imagined his voice in her head saying Come home, Breen Siobhan. It’s time you came home. Why she dreamed of dragons. And where her true destiny lies—through a portal in Galway that takes her to a land of faeries and mermaids, to a man named Keegan, and to the courage in her own heart that will guide her through a powerful, dangerous destiny…
