Welcome to WWW Wednesday! This meme was formerly hosted by MizB at A Daily Rhythm and revived on Taking on a World of Words.

The Three Ws are:

What are you currently reading?
What did you recently finish reading?
What do you think you’ll read next?

My week has been pretty normal so far. Lots of reading and writing (for NaNoWriMo). I was able to get out yesterday to do a few hours of volunteer work. It’s great to see other adults and catch up while doing things to help the community. My cats are rather good little conversationalists but their chirps, meows, and cries only communicate the basics at best – like “Lady, it’s time for lunch.” Not anywhere the same as some adult chitchat.

My reading week started with Namesake the conclusion to Fable by Adrienne Young. It is such an amazing conclusion to the story – very touching. I wasn’t suppose to read it til the new year but I just couldn’t help myself and I’m glad I pushed it up.

Today, I begin Barnabas Tew… by Columbkill Noonan. I love, love, love the plot description. It sounds like loads of fun to read. I will be so disappointed if the writing isn’t up to par but I am hopeful.

Next, I am reading a little romcom from Rich Amooi. He is arguably the king of romcoms having written so many. I apologize for the song that will be stuck in your head all day. Just know I am hearing it too. 🎶 🎶

Tell to me about the book(s) you are reading this week (in the comments). I love hearing about them. ❤️

Demanding Greek gods. A world of intrigue. A mysterious helper.

Zeus is used to getting what he wants…but that was before he met Barnabas Tew!

Barnabas and Wilfred, the unluckiest detectives ever, are enjoying their time in India, working on mastering their emotions and learning how to do all sorts of interesting yoga poses. They feel as if they’ve finally found some peace in their lives.

Everything changes, though, when Zeus whisks them away from their idyllic retreat and demands that they solve a case for him.

Having no choice, they reluctantly accept the job, but quickly come to realize that nothing is as it should be. Zeus’ motives are suspect from the beginning, the rest of the Greek gods and goddesses are untrustworthy at best, and Barnabas soon finds his temper hasn’t improved at all during his time in India.

Who is the mysterious lady who keeps popping up just when they need her? Is she friend, or is she foe?

Will Barnabas and Wilfred figure out what’s right and what’s wrong in this topsy-turvy world of lies, intrigue, and trickery? Or will the Greek gods and goddesses prove too much for them?

    1. Sometimes I can go for delayed gratification and sometimes, well, I just can’t. I just feel lucky to have the choice ❤️. I think Raining Men will be fun.
