Welcome to WWW Wednesday! This meme was formerly hosted by MizB at A Daily Rhythm and revived on Taking on a World of Words.

The Three Ws are:

What are you currently reading?
What did you recently finish reading?
What do you think you’ll read next?

This is one of those weeks when I am in absolute awe of the books that I get to read. I’ve been so excited for all three of these!

Other then reading, I have been writing as a NaNoWriMo participant. I always love doing this event.

I am such a huge fan of Janet Evanovich and I have followed the Stephanie Plum series for my whole adult life. I don’t remember what number she was on when I discovered this series but I quickly caught up and have not missed one since. Fortune and Glory just came out yesterday and, of course, I pre-ordered it and made sure my schedule would allow me to start it immediately.

I put Diamond City by Francesca Flores on hold at the library after I received the ARC of Shadow City (book 2). My eBook came through so I decided to go ahead and enjoy it. I will include my review with my review of book 2 in January/February. I enjoyed Diamond City. It has a wonderful mystery plot line running through the story that surprised me more than once. And the world building is reminiscent of the Hunger Games’ Panem in the dichotomy between social classes. A very compelling read.

The Cousins by Karen McManus is not only highly anticipated but also happens to be a blog tour book for The Write Reads. I think everyone who is taking part is over the moon excited about this read, me included.

Talk to me about the book(s) you are reading this week (in the comments). I love hearing about them. ❤️

The twenty-seventh entry in the #1 New York Times bestselling series isn’t just the biggest case of Stephanie Plum’s career. It’s the adventure of a lifetime.

When Stephanie’s beloved Grandma Mazur’s new husband died on their wedding night, the only thing he left her was a beat-up old easy chair…and the keys to a life-changing fortune.

But as Stephanie and Grandma Mazur search for Jimmy Rosolli’s treasure, they discover that they’re not the only ones on the hunt. Two dangerous enemies from the past stand in their way—along with a new adversary who’s even more formidable: Gabriela Rose, a dark-eyed beauty from Little Havana with a taste for designer clothes. She’s also a soldier of fortune, a gourmet cook, an expert in firearms and mixed martial arts—and someone who’s about to give Stephanie a real run for her money.

Stephanie may be in over her head, but she’s got two things that Gabriela doesn’t: an unbreakable bond with her family and a stubborn streak that will never let her quit.

She’ll need both to survive because this search for “fortune and glory” will turn into a desperate race against time with more on the line than ever before. Because even as she searches for the treasure and fights to protect her Grandma Mazur, her own deepest feelings will be tested—as Stephanie could finally be forced to choose between Joe Morelli and Ranger.

Their parents are all clear on one point–not going is not an option. This could be the opportunity to get back into Grandmother’s good graces. But when the cousins arrive on the island, it’s immediately clear that she has different plans for them. And the longer they stay, the more they realize how mysterious–and dark–their family’s past is.

The entire Story family has secrets. Whatever pulled them apart years ago isn’t over–and this summer, the cousins will learn everything.

    1. You might like a YA mystery. I just learned it was even a genre this year and the ones I have read have been so fun.

  1. I’m glad you have so many upcoming reads that are super anticipated for you! I haven’t read any of Karen M. McManus’s books yet but I’ve been thinking about reading One of Us is Lying. I also got confused for a second because the cover for The Cousins looks eerily similar to a thriller I read a while ago!

  2. I was kind of skeptical about Diamond City going into it, but then really enjoyed it. Have the sequel on my NetGalley shelf. Hope it’s a thumbs up for both of us.

    1. I do too. The first book was such an emotional rollercoaster that I can’t even imagine where the second book will go. I look forward to finding out, though.
