You may have heard – Season 2 of The Mandalorian begins on Friday. And in honor of that, I have included my stuffed The Child from Build-A-Bear in the pictures. I put him through a grueling day of photo shoots but we came out on the other side of it just fine. ❤️

My reading week has been rapid, but I’ve discovered a series that I enjoy as much as I do Janet Evanovich’s Stephanie Plum series and that is saying A LOT. Black River and White Horse by Joss Sterling has a similar main character as Evanovich’s, and I just love having humor in hard-boiled mysteries.

I am currently reading Sherlock Holmes and The Ripper of Whitechapel in which Sherlock Holmes takes on Jack the Ripper. I’ve read a M.K. Wiseman book many months ago and enjoy her writing style. She has captured the tone and pacing of a Sherlock Holmes mystery very well in this book. So much fun!

Next, I will be reading a book for a The Write Reads blog tour – Second Cousin Once Removed by Kenneth Toppell. I haven’t heard that much about it but I think it sounds good and it is rather short, which looks really good right now 😊

I have been enjoying Emily in Paris on Netflix. Lily Collins is so cute….and so young. She makes the other women in the series look older than I’m sure they want to look in comparison.

I start NaNoWriMo on Sunday. Maybe I will actually get my fantasy novel finished this time 😳

    Combining Sherlock Holmes and Jack the Ripper is dangerous business. My Kindle won’t thank me, but that’s a must-read for sure.

      It’s riveting and a pretty quick read. I finished it early this morning. And you are so right, mixing Sherlock Holmes and Jack the Ripper makes for quite a story.

    YES for the child! That is such a cute version! I have him on my pop socket always keeping me company and I cannot wait until Friday!

    I’m so happy you’re enjoying Stephanie Plum! I took a different Janet Evanovich book on a plane once and this woman stopped me and raved about the series and I was such a huge fan (until around book 18….). I love when strangers give winning book advice.

    All of the books sound good, but I’m especially drawn to the Sherlock Holmes novel. Another that sounds suited for my TBR.

    I love the posing Baby Yoda did. I don’t have Disney+ so I’m one of the few people who’ve yet to see the Mandalorian. One of these days, I’ll rectify that.

    So glad you’re doing NaNo. I’m crossing my fingers that we’ll both “win” this year!

    I started reading The Shadows by Alex North last night and am already 100 pages into it. Riveting and strange.
