Welcome to WWW Wednesday! This meme was formerly hosted by MizB at A Daily Rhythm and revived on Taking on a World of Words.
The Three Ws are:
What are you currently reading?
What did you recently finish reading?
What do you think you’ll read next?
I have three wonderful reads again this week, in another week of a wide variety of genres. Maybe you will see something you have read or want to read. Let me know in the comments or tell me about a book you are reading now (or your WWW post, if you have one).
Currently Reading
Genre: Romantic Comedy
Book Description
- Publisher: One More Chapter (August 7, 2020)
- Publication Date: August 7, 2020
- Sold by: HarperCollins Publishers
- Print Length: 400 pages
My Thoughts
I’m just starting it today because I had an unexpected addition to my reading/reviewing plate last week (see “Just Finished” section). I am still in love with the title and description, and I hope Faking It is as good as I think it will be.
Just Finished
Genre: Thriller
Book Details
- Print Length: 498 pages
- Publisher: William Morrow (August 4, 2020)
- Publication Date: August 4, 2020
- Sold by: HarperCollins Publishers
My Thoughts
I received an invitation, last week, to a junket featuring Karin Slaughter where she will talk about The Silent Wife. I told the publisher that I would love to attend, but that I did think it would make more sense if I read the book first, so they sent me the widget. It is a hefty book- close to 500 pages – and, wow!, what a story. I can’t wait to hear what she has to say about it and my goal is to incorporate her talk into my review.
Reading Next
Genre: Epic Fantasy
Book Details
- Publisher: St. Martin’s Griffin (August 11, 2020)
- Publication Date: August 11, 2020
- Sold by: Macmillan
My Thoughts
I’m still debating reading this book until I read the other two. I am on the waitlist for the ebook of book 1 through my local library but they only have physical copies of book 2 so, if I like book 1, I may buy book 2 and then read the ARC of book 3. I won’t do reviews for all three books. I’ll just bring in thoughts about 1 and 2 when doing the review for Cry of Metal and Bone.
I’m definitely gaining interest in the Earthsinger Chronicles. Faking it sounds fun too. Happy reading!

Faking It sounds so good, I’m going to add this to my wish list. The new Karin Slaughter sounds fab too, I’ve only got into her books in the last couple of years but I really like her writing. Happy reading! 🙂

The Slaughter book was wonderful. I love the Will Trent series. And I am looking forward to starting Faking It this afternoon. Another reviewer said it was laugh-out-loud funny so I’m hopeful 🤞

Cry of Metal and Bone appeals to me, Tessa (nice cover too), but I would HAVE to read them in order, or I’d have a meltdown. Lol. The Silent Wife sounds good, though 500 pages is intimidating since my attention span isn’t cooperating these days. Happy Reading!

500 pages definitely tested my focus. I’m not going to lie about that. But it is a very good story ❤️

I have it set for Aug. 4 – publication day. I can’t wait to get it written. I don’t like waiting too long but the junket is tomorrow. Great book!
