My Thoughts
This is book 2 in the series. I read book 1 a few weeks ago. I loved book 1 – Dark Shores – so I’m looking forward to getting into this book today. I thought I needed to read book 1 first, but I saw something the other day that said you could read them in either order. I think they are separate stories in the same world and then they come together for the third and final story. I find that approach very interesting.
Just Finished
My Thoughts
I loved this book! This is the 2nd book in a detective/police procedural series. I reviewed the 1st book, Ten Days Gone in February of this year. I enjoyed Ten Days Gone but was disappointed with character development. It really wasn’t an issue in this story as the reader was not asked to sympathize with either of the main characters to the degree that was required in the first novel. Plenty of action and suspense and the investigation intricacies make you want to create your own storyboard.

Hurry Home sounds deliciously thrilling. I can’t wait to start it in a few days.
Intersting titles, Tessa. I haven’t heard about these titles before but all sound quite compelling. Should check these out soon.

reading that snippet about Hurry Home makes me want to get back into thrillers. Ever read Steven James series that starts with The Pawn? That was an impressive piece. The whole series actually.

What an eclectic mix of books here. The YA fantasy sounds good to me (and I’m such a sucker for a great cover). Happy Reading.

The covers are absolutely gorgeous for both book 1 and book 2. It is an extremely well-written epic fantasy that doesn’t feel YA at all.

That’s good to know! I struggle with pages and pages of teenage angst. Lol. I just need to whittle down the tbr pile a little!
