Two rival radio personalities. Lori Martin is a positive and upbeat DJ, known for playing love songs and dedications. Ben Baxter dishes out no-nonsense, in-your-face relationship advice. Total opposites. Never in a million years would they want to work together.
Fired for losing her cool after her boyfriend breaks up with her on the air, Lori surprisingly receives a job offer for the coveted morning show at the radio station across town where Ben works. She thinks she’s replacing him, but finds out they want to team up Lori with her archenemy to set the air waves on fire and boost ratings. Financially strapped, she can’t turn down the job.
While their on-air fireworks and explosive chemistry make for great listening, what in the world will happen after work hours?

Just Another Silly Love Song is a fun, light read that warms the heart and lifts the spirit.
I love the use of the enemy to lovers trope. I think it is fun when people realize there truly is a thin line between love and hate. It is easy to see why this fictional pairing would make great partners in and out of the radio station. The chemistry between them leaps off the page like a third main character.
The dialogue flows naturally, and the characters are well developed. Lori has a successful evening radio advice show, reminiscent of Delilah, who is the host of a nationally syndicated dedication/advice radio show.
She tends to fall in love with the wrong guy, and her devotion to her grandmother is heart-warming. When her life goes up in flames, she quickly lands in a place where everything is finally right, but she has a hard time accepting her good fortune. Will she let herself relish her excellent luck, or will she ruin it all by believing the worst?
Ben Baxter is Dr. Tough Love, and his on-air persona seems to be who he truly is. And, who he appears to be is the polar opposite of Lori, on-air and off. Ben is very private, playing his cards very close to his vest.
Until Lori starts to discover clues that they may have more in common than it first appeared, she is reminded not to judge a book by its cover.
Is Ben what he appears to be on the cover, or do the pages tell a different story?
The pacing and tone carry you quickly through the story. I love how quickly the story moves, but there are parts that I wish were a bit more drawn out. I think when the conflict is drawn out a bit – that pivotal moment when all seems lost – adds more to the story. It deepens our understanding of the characters and makes us rejoice louder at the conclusion.
If you are looking for a fun, light-hearted read that will take you away from reality for a few hours, this is the perfect book for you.
