My Thoughts

It has everything I love in a thriller – a seemingly unsolvable case, a slew of potential killers who are all not quite right, and a writing style that is almost poetic in its descriptions.

My Thoughts

It was kind of weird to read a book set close to where I live and the retirement village is an actual retirement village south of Charlotte. Just because it is set in a retirement village, don’t mistake it as a mystery for just the over 65 audience. Most of the story was set in the past when the main character was in her teens and up – so it should have mass appeal. It is very well written and what a concept – a drug dealer running amok in a retirement village – scary and eye opening.

My Thoughts

This book is available in Kindle Unlimited with free audible. I haven’t read a Dean Koontz book in forever but this one popped up, and I have a review space that needs to be filled since Before She was Helen’s publication changed so drastically – so I thought “hmmmm 🤔”
