January Wrap-Up

Tweaked Schedule

I wanted to take this opportunity to update everyone on what to expect with my post schedule going forward. I have tweaked it a bit as I’m getting adjusted to blog tours and figuring out, with my changes that started in November – what I like and what I think could be better. So, my schedule looks like this:

Tuesday – Book review

Wednesday – WWW Wednesday

Thursday – Book review

Friday – Book Blogger Hop

Book Blogger Hop is a book blog meme that poses a bookish question of the week. I like it because the questions are fun and informal and the answers will hopefully encourage conversation. 🤞🏻

My hope is that this schedule will be a good balance of informative book reviews and conversational posts. I’m starting the Book Blogger Hop post on Friday 2/7 but the new schedule will not start with consistency until March.

January Book Haul

I did this for Instagram – it’s a list of the books I acquired in January
I also got a few books from NetGalley:
The Silvered Serpents by Roshani Chokshi
The Second Home by Christina Clancy
The Night Swim by Megan Goldin
Hurry Home by Roz Nay

New Domain

I’ve added a new domain to my blog http://www.tessatalksbooks.blog. The old domain can still be used (www.theresapulyer.blog) – WordPress automatically redirects it. I’ve been wanting to do this for a while but I finally figured out how to do it without starting a whole new blog. I definitely didn’t want to do that!

Author Q and A’s

If I get Author Q &A assets as part of a blog tour, I am going to attach a PDF file to the book review it goes with rather than make a separate post. I think this will better keep it in context. I will be starting that this coming week.

January Wrap-Up

I posted 12 book reviews this month!! That was a lot, and I will limit it to 8 in upcoming months because the time between reading the books and posting the reviews is rapidly dwindling.

5 of the book reviews were for mystery books, 5 for fantasy books, 1 that was a true mix of fantasy and mystery and 1 YA Contemporary that is fantasy-ish since it is about the gaming world.

I will be dotting my reviews with other genres, as I see books that pique my interest. I signed up for a rom-com in April! I love funny, quirky stories, so I’m looking forward to changing it up every once in a while

I hope everyone has a great bookish month in February ❤️

    1. I wasted so much money trying different things and I’m not even sure how I finally happened upon how to do exactly what I wanted but so glad I did! ❤️
